About Celebration Golf Club (Celebration, FL)
Opened in 1996, Celebration is an upscale daily-fee resort course designed by the father & son team of Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Jr. The course exudes an atmosphere of beautiful tranquility and fun, challenging golf. The layout is protectively framed by borders of native trees and natural wetlands and speckled with clusters of native oaks, pine and magnolia trees. Featuring strategic hazards and challenging greens, this championship caliber course demands accurate approach shots and consistent putting. Sporting five sets of tees, the course now stretches from 4,933 to a new total yardage of 7028 and invites competition from all skill levels. It boasts 18 distinctively fascinating holes with a great deal of variety and wildlife throughout. All new Champion Dwarf Bermuda greens added the summer of 2011 - has reopened to great reviews!

Course was in top condition. New greens this year took a little getting used to, but were true if not overly fast. An early morning round guaranteed a quick pace which has always been a problem at Celebration in the past. Staff were especially friendly and accomodating this year.

No GPS this year. Staff claimed that it drained the cart batteries. All other courses we played had GPS and it does speed up play and makes it more enjoyable. Replay rates not competitive with other courses we played. Had to negotiate too hard in order to get a fair rate on our replay.

The course is good (but not memorable). I was dissapointed in the $10 coupons which could only be used on selected things and only one coupon per item (other clubs we have gone to let us combine the coupons) - a $10 discount off a $70 shirt wasn't a big incentive.
