About Diamondback Golf Club (Haines City, FL)
Located 25 minutes southwest of the Disney area in Haines City, Diamondback is one of Joe Lee's most memorable Florida layouts. The course was carved from 240 acres of virgin forest and offers dramatically rolling fairways bordered by dense trees, natural wetlands, and well-positioned water hazards (water comes into play on just 5 holes). This naturally scenic layout is a real gem of a site; its varied geographical location includes natural swamp areas and high, sandy hills that run through a non-residential environment (no homes!) which is very unique to the Central Florida area, creating a very peaceful round of golf. Always in excellent shape, the course has just recently been rated 4.5 stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play."
Added-value: buy 1 bucket range balls, get 1 free. 15% discount off regular priced pro shop apparel starting 1/01/12 (excludes already on-sale items). FREE REPLAYS per availability 10/01-12/31/11 and 5/01-12/31/12.

Paul says:
Good Track, tight but very enjoyable even though we lost more balls here than any other course. Will be back.

Calvin (Akron, OH) says:
Not for the average golfer. have to hit the ball fairly straight to play well. still a nice track to play.

Douglas (Dublin, OH) says:
Nice course. No houses around. Great layout. Needs water, but it was fun anyway. Staff was excellent. Bit of a drive, but worth it.

John (Holtsville, NY) says:
Our first trip back in several years. We had stopped playing there several years ago after major hurricane damage. But all is well now. The course was in the best shape we ever saw. Yes, it's tight and requires shot making, but it's one of the best values in the area. If you get out early, play is fast. Replays or afternoons can be slow.

Dave (Brookfield, WI) says:
We have not played here in a few years because the greens were pretty rough the last time we played here. This time the greens were excellent. The tees were rough but I am not overly concered with that. The people at the club were very nice and the food was very good for a reasonable price.

I love this course, but this was the first time I played it when it was so dry and hard. Loved it anyway

Ron (Saint Johns, FL) says:
Hole #1 needs to be redesigned but other than that, this was a great course to play. Would recommend as a 2nd or 3rd day course at it is very narrow for a 1st day 'get your game back'.

Joyce (Kalamazoo, MI) says:
We really enjoyed this course. The fairways were tight but they were comparable to some good courses here in Michigan. Another plus is that there isn't a housing development surrounding it (though we liked the hole with the cows). We were a twosome that played the first 4 holes in dense fog, lost plenty of balls, and really had to think about our shots. But, we did 18 holes in about 31/4 hours. We had a threesome of locals with their own carts bearing down on us for starting about the fifth hole. We let them play through on 10 since we had to wait to drive due to a wayward shot by someone on the front nine. Then, it became really enjoyable. Its a beautiful course, serene yet challenging. I'd definitely recommend it.

Mike (Pearland, TX) says:
Fairways too narrow. Too many hazards and out of bounds for us "old timers" to handle. Good course...just not one we could handle.

Sharon says:
Personally we didnt like the course, it was tight and the hazards were lateral and we got confused

Dick (Rochester, NY) says:
Fairways were tight. Placement off the tee were very important. Greens were excellent, very fast, but true, sand traps were well maintained and the water comes into play. Overall I would give this course 4 1/2 stars.
