About Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club (Davenport, FL)
Rated by Golf Digest as the Best New Course in 1994 and one of the Top 50 Courses in Florida by The Florida Golfer in 1999, this Ted McAnlis layout is a truly diverse test of golf. Shot positioning is crucial as water and/or wetlands can be found on 16 holes; however, the fairways had been widened in 2004 to create more fair and forgiving landing areas. The front nine is not encumbered by homes, but water features do abound. The back nine plays through a more residential area, offering more generous fairways. The course loves to boast about "the best greens around" - Champion Dwarf! Located on Hwy. 27 in Davenport, just south of I-4 and 15 minutes west of the Disney area and US192.
Includes complimentary range balls, $10 merchandise voucher (excludes golf balls and gloves).
EXTRA VALUE: $10 All-U-Can-Eat Buffet Friday evenings for Golfpac customers (a $13 value) and don't forget to check out those Value Surcharges!!!

Drew (Lasalle, ON) says:
Enjoyable course to play. We were lucky to play with 2 members to warn us of hazards. Slow play.

Adam (Middlebury Center, PA) says:
Played this course on the last day. Got there early and hit the range. We went past our scheduled tee time, but were told that the group behind us would wait for us to tee off. Very friendly staff and great service. Course played very well. Pace was sketchy at times, caught the group in front of us a few times, and eventually got past them on #9. After that, smooth sailing until 17, but at that point we weren't too concerned. The course had a great layout, challenging hole locations and really made you pick your shots. 10/10, would DEFINITELY rank #1 course of the trip

Mark (Broadview Heights, OH) says:
solid course....lots and lots of water and very tight greens and fairways on certain holes. Number 11 has an impossible shot from the fairway... The staff was good but pro shop could have been nicer and staff running the food/beverage seemed overworked and not very hospitable. All in all, not a bad track but it ate us up!

SUPER FAST GREENS. TOOK HALF A ROUND TO FIGURE THEM OUT

Jonathan (Nashua, NH) says:
Fast greens, in-consistent sand, water everywhere. We forgot our GPS in the condo, so playing here with no idea how far anything was to carry, made this less than could have been. It was our second round of the day and we had to stop at Dick's for ball on the way home.... Water is in play everywhere and the greens are true and fast (fastest we played all week). Sand was terrible, inconsistent at best. We would have expected more with some small greens which were so fast, the sand needs to be addressed. Risk, reward shots don't pay off here. A few of us who needed to make up a shot or two found ourselves with poor lies, poor angles, and poor results. Play safe, score ok, play aggressive and pay the price. The clubhouse staff made this a possibel play again next year stop.

Second best in the package

John (Halifax, NS) says:
A very flat layout but with some interesting holes. Wind a big factor here. Saw a 14' alligator close to #2 tee! Here again, lack of a course guidebook made it a little more challenging.

so so

Charles (Hilliard, OH) says:
An ok course. Nothing to write home about. There are a lot of other courses of this ilk in Orlando for the same price. I don't replay any courses unless they're really nice. To many courses to see in Florida

Turned out to be a great golf course. Couldn't just bomb driver all day. Had to think your way around the golf course off the tee.

Nice course and a great staff....

James (Boca Raton, FL) says:
Enough can not be said about how well the staff treated us when we arrived for lunch. They had a banquet in the main dining area, so they set us up outside. They provided great service, got us all fed and to the tee on time. Compared to Diamondback, the course we had just left, this place was immaculate. The greens had grass.

Eddie (Kahnawake, QC) says:
Need GPS on carts or yardage markers on the course, hard to tell the distances as the course is not well marked. Hit good drives into unmarked water hazards often.

Pretty basic. Decent course but did not stand out.

Great course. Drained well after a heavy rain. Very challenging, but a lot of fun.

Rodney (Sicklerville, NJ) says:
We have booked this course twice in the last two years. We have had only one problem. It has rained both times. We will choose another day other than Monday if we play again. It is an excellent track with the best greens in Florida. In the rain the greens were still fast. The course is scenic with an excellent design to challenge all skill levels.

Carmen (Fairport, NY) says:
First hole is a 'joke'! There is enough trouble on this course in the form of water hazards, the fairway bunkers are TOTALLY unnecessary!

I had not played this course since 2000. I really enjoyed the course. We will come back again.
