Designed by international architect David Harman, Harris Rosen's Shingle Creek provides lush terrain, significantly undulating fairways, interconnecting waterways, large, rolling greens and magnificent panoramic views from the 23,000-square-foot clubhouse. Peripherally bordered by dense oaks and pines in a backdrop along historic Shingle Creek, it is situated on a natural 230-acre site, just 10 minutes west of Orlando International Airport - great for first/ last day play and just around the corner from International Drive, the Convention Center and numerous hotels and attractions. Shingle Creek is an outstanding golf course. The greens are the best we played on during our trip! We loved the course so much that we paid to play an additional 18 holes and found out after the fact that we only could play an additional 9. It was a bad ending to an otherwise great day. Also the clubhouse restaurant was a bit dark and too fancy for our group, but we did enjoy an excellent burger at the outdoor snack shack. I really liked Shingle Creek but the customer service was not as good as I would expect at a club of this nature.
